Snow-Wars 2010 Video shot with DSLR Canon EOS 1D Mark IV
* Update: I’ve added some still shots of the neighborhood under the heavy snow.
Yesterday, I decided to take the new Canon EOS 1D Mark IV for a walk in the snow and head towards Dupont Circle in Downtown Washington DC, where the pre-advertised and planned Snow-Wars was going to take place.
I met with my good friend Aaron Gillespie from the Dupont Hotel and from the Hotel’s Level Nine balcony, shot this video clip. I used my EOS 1D Mark IV and a Canon EF 14mm F/2.8L II USM lens. For close-ups I used the Canon EF 24-70 F/2.8L USM lens. The sound was captured with the built-in microphone which I think has pretty good quality to it.
The video was posted on YouTube and got some great comments and the Facebook photo of the event got some funny comments and tags. You’re welcome to look me up on facebook and if you were there, tag yourself!

I must’ve been walking within 50 feet of you on Saturday – we were right by the fallen tree when the Hummer pulled up. And the snowball fight was a blast!
