Portfolio in Motion 2009 with designer Peter Som

Marymount University Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising programs’s premier student fashion event, “Portfolio in Motion“, takes place once a year on campus, which is one of my favorite events to photograph. Runway shots always get you pumped up with great atmosphere and music. This year’s guest designer and designer of the year is Peter Som.

Here are a few of my favorite images from the amazing fashion show, designed, produced and executed, all by the students themselves!

Drink Up!

My good friend Natalie Bovis Nelson of The Liquid Muse was on the East Coast this past weekend at Firefly for a signing of her latest book, “Preggatinis: Mixology for the Mom-to-be.” Natalie’s book signing drew close friends from the DC area, like Mel Davis from Citronelle and Sarah Crocker from Kimpton Hotels who actually hosted the party, and many mom’s to be. I hadn’t seen Natalie since my wedding almost 2 years ago, so I was really glad to get to hang out. Take a look at the shots and check out Natalie’s blog (link) and book, available on Amazon.com

Saturday’s at the Park – Kim and Matthew’s Wedding

Yesterday, I photographed the wedding of Kim and Matthew at “The Park” on 14th. Just a couple of weeks ago I photographed their engagement session which was fantastic and the wedding itself was just awesome! The couple had great friends and families who rocked the party. We had a photo booth set up with costumes and props for the guests. A very special thanks to my good friend, mentor and partner, Hadar of Hadar Goren Photography, for the help throughout the entire day. Also, I’d like to thank Muriel Silva of Muriel Weddings, who shot with me the entire day and was very helpful.
